OSX is so demanding because it keeps alot of memory in cache, instead of constantly accessing the hard drive. It thrives on memory, especially a gig and up

I bought my 2 1GB sticks from Circuit City. After mail-in rebate they were 89.99 each. I have never had any problems. My Macbook runs flawlessly and superfast. You can definetly tell the difference from 512mb and 2gb.
