Ipod mini dock with Nano?

Hello there
I dropped my mini a year ago and it crashed for good. I just bought myself a 1G Nano and was wondering if it is safe to syn it with my old Mini dock. It plugs into it fine and seems to be charging etc. I was quite suprised that it did fit. I was just wondering if this is alright to use it.........does anyone here have any experience with this? Thanks so much for your time

I have heard a lot of people try this at other forums and they said it works fine.

It should work i guess, isn't it the same dock connector?

I used my mini dock for my nano for awhile, it won't hurt anything just looks a little odd.
