Trouble capturing Sony Handycam PC106 on an iBook

Im having trouble to capture video from my Sony Handycam (DCR PC106). I cant get any picture out in iMovie or Quicktime Pro. So, any suggestion? I connect it using USB 2.0 though, shud i bought a Firewire cable?

You will need to connect using a firewire. The only thing you can use the usb connect is to off load pictures from your camera. If your camera has a firewire port (iLink). Then get a 4pin to 6pin firewire cable. Connect the cable to your camera and the computer. Place the camera in VCR mode and fire up imovie. iMovie should now see your camcorder.
