Mail to get new interface

Apple’s Mail application will sport an interface similar to iChat and Safari in an upcoming version, according to recent information sent to Spymac.

The purported change would see the familiar brushed-metal interface as the front end to Apple’s free Mail.App – the default mail client in OS X.
Other Apple products currently using the look include the entire iLife package; QuickTime; iChat and Safari.

According to one internal tester, the metal interface has appeared in previously seeded betas, suggesting that the Mail development team has toyed with the idea in the past.

Mail currently integrates with Address Book and iChat, with increased support expected.

Hmmm, this is definately a great feature. Gives the developers that write the apps to change it back to the cocoa interface something to do

The look of the interface is not that important to me. Its more the function of the application. Does it do what it is advertised to do.

i wish Mail integreated with Safari.

That would be cool, but i think it would take up valuable browsing space, and what about the people who didnt use mail.app?
