I am using GIMP under Apple's X11 - I am also using a number of other open source programs that I have imported using DarwinPorts (EXCELLENT bit of software, can't recommend it enough).
For most of my other open source software, I found that the default menu fonts were just too small, so I did what you always do - I created a .gtkrc-2.0 file and specified something more suitable. In this case, I also had some gtk theme files lying around and specified one of those that I liked.
All of the rest of my open source programs respect the new setting and I get menus at a more ledgable font size. However, GIMP does not! GIMP of all programs!! GTK = GIMP Tool Kit! If GIMP isn't going to respect GTK settings, who is???
Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas?
