Sony DCR-HC32 MiniDV as Hi8 converter...

Hi,

I have a new DCR-HC32 MiniDV that I would like to use as a through-put for my older Hi8 camcorder. Of course Sony did not provide any of the necessary cables to accomplish this so I want to check here to make sure I was buying the correct cables.

I believe that I need an i-Link 4 to 6 pin cable to connect my HC-32 to the computer, but which cable do I use to connect my S-video Hi8 Handycam to the HC32? The answer seems to be the VMC-30FS High Grade Multi-connect Audio-video Cable but after reading the reviews on Amazon, it sounds like this cable is only for going OUT of the HC32. Is this the cable I need to go IN to the HC-32?

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

John
