What games will I be able to play?

I just bought a macbook and am now thinking of selling my PC for good. I was wondering if the following games will work decently.

1. Civ 4
2. Warhammer 40K

Those are the only two games I pay on PC and if they would work on the built in graphics, Ill rid myself of my PC.

Ofcourse, Id play both the games on windows.

i have never gamed on a macbook but since you just purchased one why dont you install winxpsp2 on it and let us all know how the games work once you play them! it will be good and valuable info for the board

I can tell you that Warcraft III runs OK, as long as you don’t have Divx installed

Aside from that, I mostly run Stella Atari 2600 emulator and MacMAME.

Those games will run perfectly fine and very easy. Also, if you want it to run even better, get Civilization for Mac.

you can always play the super cool games we have here at the forums.

You will be able to play any PC game as long as you're booting into Windows. With 512 RAM, 128 vRAM 17" iMac, I can run-EASILY at that- Elder Scrolls IV-Oblivion and Rome: Total War. You should have no problem.

Ill try installing Civ 4...So far, Windows installation has been as easy as a bean.

So I installed Civ 4 on Windows. Got 12 FPS at the default resolution and does not look too pretty. I guess my PC stays for now. 2D games should work fine though. Next purchase would be a macbook with a dedicated GPU if it comes out.
