If this was because of my thread then i dont know what u r talking about. He posted search results on the ibook. i was talking the macbook. knowing how other forums are modded you people would have gripped about posting things about the macbook that should only be for ibook. and sometimes you do a search and dont find anything.

Don't be so self-centered, it's not about you .

There are many people here posting things without searching first.

And in your thread he certainly did post threads about Macbooks...here's an example from the first thread he posted for you to look at:

Seeing as how I'm normally too lazy to search for myself, let alone other people - I usually just end up posting someting... I am soo going to get carpal tunnel syndrome...

i dont get this whole search pefore you post deal.

I mean you want a comunity to come together and talk and you get someone highlighting the fact that they should search first.

whats the deal? thered hardly be ever any posts if people searched before you posted.

Not even true. There's much to talk about and we'd be able to talk about those things more if people would use search for the questions that have been asked and answered a million times.

Or often you can find the basic information via a search and then post back with experiences, follow-on questions or additional info.

Besides, apart from the most basic questions, most more advanced issues will have user-specific factors that make others users feedback more important.

Sometimes its just acknowledging that you did search... for example you could thread: "My ibook wont turn on" and in that thread you could post and say how it doesn't turn on and you searched and found this link, but it did not work. Then apologize if there was another thread you missed and say thank you for anyones help.
