hello,
I purchased an iMac G3 with a 233 mhz back around December. I "maxed it out" putting an 80 gb hd, 333 mhz, added 2 128 mb memory sticks, put 4 mb of sgram, and installed os x panther. Recently when I turn the computer on it doesn't make the "ding" sound. It still runs perfectly fine, but I remember reading somewhere that that ding means that the computer has passed some basic tests or something. I was just wondering if there is a way to make it come back or if I should even worry about it.
thanks,
scatman
