Keychain Issue: Resets Programs Back to Factory Settings

It did this when I swtiched to Mac...got the Mini...can't remember what I did but now it's doing it on my sister's new iMac...!!!

Keychain RESETS EVERYTHING BACK TO FACTORY SETTINGS....Safari, iTune, iPhoto, etc.

No...Keychain just stores passwords.

However, some slip-ups (including renaming the Home folder) can cause application settings to be lost, including the Keychain's, all at once. So it might look like the Keychain caused the problem, even though it's just another affected app.
