Optical Drive Noise

I just got my black Macbook last night from the Apple store in King of Prussia. I am very happy with the machine and I am amazed at how fast it is, especially booting up. When I turn the Macbook on or when I open the lid from it sleeping the optical drive seems to play a little tune, I know it sounds weird, but it actually is. It kind of sounds like when it takes a disc in but it has a little pattern to it. Is this normal or has anyone else had this happen to them?

That is normal. It is just the drive powering up, nothing to worry about.
