i've been wanting to change the alert sound effect on my Mac, to the "Red Alert- Star Trek" Sound effect. (I've gotten a high-quality copy from the Internet) But I can't figure out how to add a sound effect to the list.

How do I do that?

Thanks in advance.

Be sure that it's in aiff format. Put it in the OS X system\library\sounds then you'll be able to select it in the sound pref panel.
