Power Macintosh G3 233 MHz - White screen with _

Put a 13 gig Quantum hard drive from a PC (Still PC partitioned) onto this computer and it powers up, chimes, then restarts, chimes again, and gives a pure white screen with a black underscore _ in the upper left. Next time you turn it on it goes straight to the white screen.

Have to zap PRam before it will try to boot again. Then it just starts reading the CD then chimes then white screen again.

Tried deleting all PC partitions from it and it does the same thing.

What is it formatted to?

What system version is on the CD? This model has issues with 10.3 and 10.4.
