Stuff it Expander Problem

Hi,

i have some problems using the Stuff it Expander on my MacBookPro. I installed it but when I´m going to use it, it opens a window saying" The application Stuff Expander quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected".???

Does anyone know what that means or why it doesn´t work?

It's just the app crashing. Something got corrupted in the installation, say a file was missing or permissions were changed. I'd start by repairing permissions, restarting, and if it's still crashing just reinstalling again. Let mus know.

Stuffit did that on my g/f's macbook as well, a simple restart seemed to fix it...

HI i am using the latest Mac 0s 10.4.6. and have problems not only by installing StuffIt but also with some other Software (e.g. Norton Antivirus)

The applications are installed properly, but once i try to start the applications the following error message is displayed:

The apllication <name of application> quit unepectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.

I reinstalled these apps several time but it's always the same problem.

The error message is as follows (see below) can anybody help?

Yes: Delete anything that starts with the name 'Norton' and keep it off your system...

It's legendary for causing havoc on mac systems and doesn't really serve any purpose at the moment...
