As my 10 month old daughter has taken to changing the name of my hard drive amongst other rather cute things, I was wondering if there is a Keypad lock function on my laptop? 12" ibook g4 10.4.6.

the easiest thing to do is to set a "Hot Corner" for your screen saver, and then require a password to awaken from screen saver.
when you leave your laptop just mouse over to the hot corner of your screen and your screen saver will begin. move the mouse again and it will prompt you for your password.
