Does anyone know if theres a Mac OSX equivalent to the Windows feature System Restore. Where you can save all the settings and programs installed and if you ever want to be able to restore to this point?

Thanks,

Not built in, no. OSX does allow for an "Archive and Install" where you can reinstall the system but it will leave your folder, docs, apps, profile, settings etc alone and they will remain and look the same after the instal is done. You can make a disc image of your HDD for later use from disc utility. The need to reinstall OSX is not nearly as prevalent as it is with Windows. I've only done it once or twice in 5 or 6 years.

There are 3rd party apps that will let you do what you want though.

Thanks, do you know what the names of any of this third party software is, and which ones are the best.

Thanks
