the first shot is great, could do with the dash cropped out though IMO.

Would have looked awesome though if you had waited till you were movin and then taken a shot with the shutter at about 1/8sec i love shots like that at the moment

I agree with inflexion that using it is the best way to learn it, but dont trash the manual. Read it first to ensure you know how to use the features and which button/dials do what.

I agree with Odin, just buy a bunch of rolls and right off the bat consider them throw away rolls. If you're really serious about learning, keep a logbook and write down your settings for each and every photo you take. Take 20 pictures of the same thing but change the settings a little each time. That is the only way you'll truly get to know your camera

Being as it is a 'digital' rebel you have as many test rolls as you want! :black:

Like Odin_aa said... read up... Alot of guys think that having a good SLR automatically makes you a skilled photographer. But it takes practice and knowledge just like any other skill.

luminous-landscape.com is a great resource for getting a better grasp on the ins and outs of digital photography.

Haha, I've never owned a digital camera, so it's still new to me!

The one thing I would definately reccomend, is read the whole manual. Doesn't have to be all in one day, just make sure you read it, there are tons of helpful things in there. I often go back to mine for quick refference. The pics look cool, I like the last one best too ;)

That's cool. I only got a Canon Digital IXUS 700 and I kept shooting non-stop... hehehe.. I haven't read the manual yet but I guess every digital camera is the same with the others. You could always download the manuals even if you throw them away :p It's just great when you just plug in the usb and iPhoto pops up not like in Windows when you have to install the drivers and applications for the cameras. :black:

Well, happy shooting and show some pcitures k.
