17" Powerbook G4 - Lost install disks. Now what?

I lost the install CD's that came with my Powerbook. I tried the install CD's from a similar Powerbook but the screen just turns blue and freezes. I also tried a copy of Tiger with the same blue screen result. Anyone know why this is and how I can re-install my OS w/o the original install CD's?

I think i just threw mine away as i upgraded to a MBP. I'll have a look for you.
