Hey everyone,

Now I'm looking at various Bluetooth headsets, mainly by Motorola. I don't have a cell phone with Bluetooth, but my goal is to use it on my MacBook Pro with Skype. How do I know if a headset will work with Skype and on my MacBook, or do pretty much all of them? Thanks.

Closer than you think.

My guess is that it will just work connecting it to the Mac. Skype is what I'd be worried about. What does their site say?

Skype does work with bluetooth headsets, but I'm not sure if any old one will work... I think it needs to support certain bluetooth profiles.

Have you done a search? I seem to remember this cropping up before.

Hey, I just bought a Motorola H300 and it works great, Skype included. Skype seems to just detect input devices the same as System Preferences. What's nice though is Skype can have its own, and System Preferences can as well. So I can keep my default audio out set to speakers, and line in to my built in mic, but then Skype will use the bluetooth :)
