Training Courses

My company is hoping to send me on some Mac training and I was just wondering if anyone could suggest any good courses and training companies who provide this - preferably up north somewhere!!

I don't know much about Macs at all to be honest but as we are now expected to support around 20 Mac's I would like to get a better understaing of them (OSX).

You can purchase the basic OS X, Desktop and Portable training for 299.00. It's self paced, easy and cheap. Training will be costly especially if you really don't need to know the Server side or Unix side.

i took the classes from apple for os x 10.4 essentials and os x 10.4 mass deployment. You can take them in chicago at apple (downtown) or at mac specialists (outside of the city). they are well worth the time and money.

Training

Agreed. Depending on time frame, you can try to teach yourself, but if you are like me & so many others, hand-ons training is the way to go. Apple Training is great, but really expensive. You may want to consider a trainer from the Apple Consultants network. From Apple's site there a way to "find a consultant", and you can search that way. I hear great things about MOST in Chicago You can also search for consultants/trainers by zip code. Best of luck!
