Sharing blogs

I recently upgraded to High Sierra, on an iMac 21.5 inch with 8 GB memory.

I'm sure I used to be able to share my blogs by clicking on 'share' and adding e-mail addresses. Now I'm told "You need a Google+ profile to share a post. Click on the Google+ tab to learn more."

I can't see a Google+ tab. Searching for this seems to indicate that I have to create a Facebook profile, which I don't want to do.

There must be a simpler way of sharing my blogs.

We'll need a lot more information. What do you mean "share"? What are you using to do this sharing? What blog? What software supports the blog? Where is the Google message coming from?

I’m on blogger.com. Apparently it’s a Google account.

By ‘share’ I mean enabling other people to look at your blog.


Under each blog is listed ‘edit, view. share, delete’, and normally I can click on ‘share’ to add people. That’s when a window pops up with the message I gave last time. I don’t know where it comes from.

I think you may have to ask that question at blogger.com support, if there is one. I don't do anything Google if I can help it at all.

Ian: your second URL looked promising, but the instructions are:

Sign in to Blogger.
In the top left, click the Down arrow*.
Select the blog to update.
In the left menu, click Settings**Basic.
Under "Permissions," find "Blog Authors" and click Add authors.
Enter the email address of the person you want to add.
Click Invite authors.

I get as far as selecting a blog, but then there is no left menu, or any ‘Settings’ to click on.

Sorry about that, David. I don't blog; just tried a bit of research. Pity it didn't help.
