I wish Apple would have credit card where I could earn points towards new Macs <g>. How sweet would that be :)

Only if you could get a decent interest rate. Say 7%, then sign me up. :)

I don't even care about the interest rate since I refuse to carry balances. Got into too much trouble in college that way <g>.

apple is a computer company. its odd how everyone wants them to be an everything company now. cell phones, service, ISP, and even credit cards :p . while they would undoubtly be the best at what they do, they make computers and computer accessories. the only way i see this happening is if Visa or American Express makes a deal with them where they put the logo on it and you earn points, but ultimately, youd be using a visa, american express or mastercard

That's exactly what I mean. For example Gateway has a card but it's actually an MBNA Mastercard that's cobranded and you earn points towards Gateway products. Apple could do the same thing. They already offer a line of credit which is through MBNA, I'm sure they could swing a deal for a credit card too :)
