What is the actual name of the "Disk Space" utility app you're using?

Have you checked the developer's support site or contacted them?

Or are you using the High Sierra disk space "dump surplus" stuff" or options?

Hi Patrick:
It is the Disk Space that came with my computer....

Well Shelbyw7, I've never heard of such an application and I can't even find any trace of it searching the 'net.

I'm also a bit surprised that for someone who has been a member here for over three years would even be using any "cleanup" app, especially an almost unknown one.

PS: I sure hope you have a current working backup, especially if you seem to run such applications, or try to.

Maybe it's a good thing that it won't start or work!!!!

I suspect that the product you are referring to is called Iobit, produced as a "clean-up app mainly for PCs: https://www.iobit.com/en/products.php

There is an offshoot version, I believe from the same or an ancillary company, for Macs: https://www.macbooster.net

Personally, I'd steer clear of any "cleaner", "booster" app as they can damage your Mac. OnyX is the only one we'd recommend - if you need one at all. Seriously!

Macs pretty well take care of themselves - no AV software needed; no cleaner/boosters - just OnyX on an occasional basis.

Your shout, of course, Shelby. We only offer advice.

Good sluthing if it is Ian, but a bit odd that it seems to have three levels of "cleaning" and features and pricing, starting with the Lite $39.00 version, $59.00 for mid/normal and $89.00 for "Pro" version.

Anyway, not much in the way of support at their site but heck, why bother when one can get stuff that actually works and can do the same things and free as well.

Yup, just saying…
