Anyone in the market for a new 2018 MacBook Pro?

Only if I can talk Apple into taking a few oversized hats in trade.:) Otherwise, if I bought a new Mac now I'd probably have to come live in your Garage.

LOL, my garage like all other garages of some of the older homes in our neighborhood is fairly well filled. I at least can get both of our cars in the garage. Most of my neighbors have their cars parked outside while they have their garages stuffed with various junk. :)

Yeah, the new MacBook Pros especially those that are fully loaded are priced way beyond my means. Of course like the iMac Pro, those fully loaded MacBook Pros are for the folks who use them to make $$$.

Hey, what a bargain.

That MBPro would cost an equivalent of $8,813.20 in Canadian dollars at todays exchange rate, but I could purchase it directly from Apple Canada Store for $8,379.00, and that includes Free Delivery. Wooopy Doo…

And just to think a dentist's estimate to completely regenerate and fix all my teeth is for over three times that amount!!! That makes that Mac seem like a bargain eh??? :Smirk:

Pat, those prices are insane! Is that for the Normal MBP without any additions like more Ram? If so that is just wrong. I did not realize they were that much in Canada.

That's our Canada Apple Store price Dennis for the same loaded model, and don't forget our Canadian Dollar is worth about 30%± less than the US greenback.

Don't remind me. My wife informed me how much her dentist wants for 2 dental implants plus surgery, care, and etc. I guess that's the norm nowadays. I guess we're fortunate in that her dentist accepts monthly payments.

I watch those commercials on TV about folks getting a complete dental implant replacement. Of course they never mention price and will only say that financing is available.

If you look online, that is adding a 4TB SSD for $3300.

i bought the 13 inch macbook pro 2018 with touchbar for $1500.
Best buy had a prime deal which gave a $250 discount and on top of that best buy has a $150 discount for students (even if you're not a student, just enter the coupon code) .
So i got a $400 off on the laptop which is a pretty good deal imo.

But if you boost the specs up to the maximum then it becomes ridiculously expensive for sure.
