How to Copy GPS location from Photo on iPhone?

Hello everyone!
I need to copy a GPS coordinates where the photo was taken on my iPhone.
On the iPhone I can see the location from the Photos app on the map, but I didn't find any options to view a full info about the photo or any options to copy GPS location coordinates.
I need to share the coordinates of the photo to another person, but I can't do this!
Also, if I send a photo via email or AirDrop to another device, the location data not shown.
Can anyone help? Or recommend any iOS app which can show GPS location coordinates and copy?

I'm not aware of a way of doing this that does not involve a third party app.

I have found this website which explains in some detail how to extract the metadata, including GPS; but it does involve an app. You might want to consider this.

BTW, I got this website by entering "extract metadata from iPhone" in Google. Because, in effect, that's what your doing. You could substitute "GPS" for "Metadata" and see if that brings up any more hits.

Well, I must say, Patrick, you've come up with some cracking good links.

I didn't know you could copy/paste within the compass app - though that would be less helpful to the OP after he gets home. It would be great if you did this at the time of taking the photo.

I also was in ignorance of Preview's ability to show the GPS of a photo - that would help the OP a lot, I guess.

EDIT: additional info

I have tried the Preview method to show GPS and it works, but ONLY if you export the original photo for opening in Preview. The same photo, once modified within the Photos app and then exported does NOT contain the GPS info within Preview.

Thanks Ian, and I'll admit that I sure learned some new things.

I find the trouble with many such hints is that they are or were OS version specific, and then the feature seems to be deleted or hidden in some manner I gather to "streamline" things.

PS: Thanks for your own hint and discovery which may help the OP and others. I do very little photo work with my Macs.

Anyway, as they say, so much to learn — so little time.
