A few years ago I created (converted) some videos to mp4. At the time, I had no trouble playing the videos using the Mac provided Quicktime player. Now Quicktime Player (Vers 10) cannot open those files. I also tried 4 or 5 different video converters with no success. I also tried the OS 10 utility "File Viewer". The files all have the extension, ".mp4". The Finder thumbnail displays the Quicktime logo, "MPEG-4 video", and the file size in GB.
I tried opening the files in Quicktime Player v7, but it only recognizes files with the ".mov" extension.
Any suggestions?
