Yikes! My CD/DVD-drive is not accepting discs!

I saw a similar post in this forum, but it didn't seem to have any answers. So I'm trying again with my problem. I suddenly experienced that my CD/DVD drive on my Powerbook G4 17" was not accepting any discs. I used it earlier today, and it worked fine, but then suddenly when I was about to burn a DVD 15 min. ago, its not "eating" the discs anymore. I it just plain broken? I do have Apple Care (luckily, since it's about 2 years old now), so looks like I will have need for that now.

A last question, would anyone know if I can go to the Apple Flagship store in London to get it fixed in-store?

(About the only thing in that article that doesn't fall under the category of "Common Sense" is the suggestion to reset the PMU. Still....)

I might would try a simple reboot--had a friend with the same problem. Simply rebooted the PowerBook and it began to work flawlessly. It's amazing what a simple reboot can do sometimes.
