With some trepidation after reading about many cracked screens I ordered a 15" refurb MacBook Pro. I set it up for pick-up at an Apple store vice home delivery so that I could check it out before taking possession. Good decision! Went to pick it up today and told them I wanted assistance with set up. Opened up a brick. Would not power up. Had several associates and a tech look at it and it just sat there dead. So I returned it.
It's going to take "up to three business days for the refund to to credited to your account". Strange, a purchase is instantaneously dinged on account, but a credit takes three days. Oh well, gives me three days to reconsider buying a piece of kit with all the cracked screen, black screen, dead key issues documented here and on other forums.
