I don't found this adapter on macsales But this adapter just reroute path, so should i work but hardware (ssd to mac) compatibility may be a bigger problem.I believe with the correct adapter it will work. Go to www.macsales.com and check to see if they have the adapter you're looking for and which model SSDs they're compatible with.
ThanksAnd welcome to our forums.
You need to have an original apple ssd in the machine and install high Sierra. Installing high Sierra will ensure the air is running the latest firmware in order to use nvme drives.
There was another person on another forum that purchased a MacBook pro without the original Apple ssd and a Samsung nvme drive.
High Sierra could not be installed because the MacBook's firmware was too old. Once the person installed high Sierra to the original internal Apple ssd, the firmware in the MacBook was updated to the latest release. High Sierra installed without issue.

I guess I was unfortunate when upgrading three Macbooks (1 mid-2013 13" Air, 1 early 2015 13" Air, late 2013 13" MBP). I had to upgrade the firmware before I could use either an Intel 600p or Samsung 960evo in any of the machines.
