Pictures storage on a mac

Are pictures stored in separate folders ?

All my current pics in windows Are stored in separate named file folders

Will they transfer in the current form......format with the associated title name

Assuming that the pictures are in a common file format such as jpeg they can be copied over to the and will keep the current form. The filename will be safe in most cases. I think there are one or two special characters that the PC permits as part of the filename that the Mac does not allow. That'a probably not going to be an issue though.

Once the files have been coped to the Mac hook they are stored depends upon which program you import them into. The "Photos" program will import the pictures into a database but not all programs do that.
