I know it has been covered, but I need to know how to make a "startup DVD" for OS 10.6.8. Can you direct me to the article on that?

Thanx in advance for any help!

Why make one when you can buy an already Apple prepared one from here. ($19.99)

Agree with chscag...the proper way to get this accomplished is to purchase an original Snow Leopard DVD.:)

Google can be you friend.

But the comments made already are very valid as there are quite a few variables involved, and equipment. And yes, Apple does allow you to make a backup copy of the appropriate install disk you own and for your own use.
