What exactly would be the benefit of using bootcamp on you mac? Aside from not having to carry around two computers. Just looking for any benefits before I decide whether or not to set it up.

I don't know how many answer since this forum will be closing down in a few hours. We are working on creating a new site and there is already a closed Facebook group set up. If you would like to be kept informed about when the new site goes up PM me your email address before this site shuts down.

If you need to run a few Windows apps and they are graphics intensive (games and some other apps( BoootCamp isn't a bad option. Otherwise one of the virtual machine options might work fine for you. My biggest complaint about using BootCamp is having to completely rebooting machine when I need to switch operating systems.

If you want to run Windows and don't mind rebooting to get to it, BootCamp is the way to go. But if you just want Windows for a few set things, maybe a virtual Windows system will do? I use Parallels, there is also VMWare and a couple of free emulators whose names I cannot recall. How well they run depends on the applications you want/need.
