how to upload movies from digital camera effiently?

I have a sony DSC-P2 digital camera
I know how to upload pictures using iPhoto just fine.
but that program doesn't let me upload movies stored in my digital camera.
so I had to upload it manually which is really time consuming,
does anyone know any program in my emac osc panther which I can use?
thankkks!

PowerMac G5 2.3 ghz 6.5 GB ram 20" cinema display ..15" Macbook Pro 2.33 Core 2 Duo 2 Gig RAM
I have only uploaded video once from a digital 8 camcorder...it worked wonderfully in imovie recognized the camera as soon as I connected it to the firewire port.
