Apple update what is rapportd?

Well another update from the head office to stabilize the system & security bla bla bla, yet it installs Quictime viewer and this rapport app which wants to connect with other computers...

What head office? Your post is a bit cryptic. And the name in the title for the app and the name you have in the post are two different things. So can you clean it up a bit and let us know exactly what you are talking about?
