It wont sart up. Well I should say it does, but its like the mouse/pad on the laptop is frozen. The curser is there on the screen, it moves around but when I try to select something nothing happens. Nothing opens up. I've tried to start it up using the applecare disk but I cant click ok to go any futher.

Do you have system restore CDs? I'd try with those.

You could try booting in verbose mode, and watch for any errors related to the mouse, but if you're not familliar with the BSD backend (or *nix in general), you probably wont catch it if there are any. But if you are familliar with it, or just feel like trying, that might be worth checking.
