Aspyr tackles boot camp gaming

if you have been reading about XP gaming on intel macs same title seemed to run 10-15% faster under XP/boot camp than OS X. some saw this as a threat to native mac game publishing. It seems aspyr takes this quite seriously as they today released an update to mac Quake 4 with dual core support. in intel based mac one can expect as much as 30% speed increase with this update. it is related to core duos symmetrical multiprocessing, or SMP ability. as soon as game publishers start simultaneous releases for PC and Mac they should have nothing to worry about anymore.
