I have replaced my internal 1 TB with a 1 TB Samsung 850 Evo SSD. The SSD is formatted as a OSx.

When I try to boot all there happens is that the computer repeatedly beeps in a rather dark tone.

What have I done wrong? Is it over and out with the computer :Angry-Tongue:?

Samsung EVO SSD's do not work that well with pre 2010 Macs due to SATA speed differences, and backwards compatablility problems. Also you will nbeed a Heat Xensor Kit from OWC after replacing the original drive. And formating is required to be Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
