I am on OS X 10.6.8 and about to upgrade to a later OS X. I have a bootcamp partition with Win 7 on it that I set up years ago. I never use it and have nothing on it I need to keep. I would like to simply remove it and give the space (300GB) back to my main partition.
How do I do this please? I saw online that I should be able to open bootcamp assistant, and have an option to remove the instal.

However, I dont get that option show up. Starting bootcamp simply asks me if I want to install windows and not remove the previous instal. Perhaps that screen is for a later version?
Anyway, whats the easiest way to get that space back before I start my OS X upgrade please?
