Hi everyone,

I need to create a report for my manager and he needs the hours I worked.
I lost the .xls file I had in a USB (USB corrupted) and I need to know what time I turned off my iMac (El Capitan) for the last 2 months.
I went to Concole->system.log but it shows many data since 25 October.

Is there a way to find the shut down time for the past 60 days?

Thank you in advance.

Open a terminal windows and enter:
last shutdown
Press enter.

You'll get a list of shut down times and dates

last reboot will give you the same for each time the system was started

Thank you mrplow!
Indeed, it shows the shut down times and dates.
However, it misses some days. I noticed that some Wednesdays are missing (I don't know why it picked Wednesdays specifically), however, in general, you saved my day!

Glad it helped. It will only miss days if:
1) it crashed and didn't get opportunity to write to the log - though there should be something in the event log to match
2) it didn't shutdown (failed to or just went to sleep)

Probably going further than you need but might be interesting to match the shutdowns and reboots.
