Is it possible to watch Canadian TV on iMac from the UK?

iMac(2.7 i5,Late 2013)OS High Sierra.10.13.6 Ipad3/5s ios12 nd 5s ios11
Can the forum recommend any available? software that makes it possible to watch Canadian tv(CTV Edmonton)from the UK.
I have a relative that lives there so am showing an interest in local news.
When i try on CTV's website its asking me to sign in with local cad providers including Rogers/Bell/AT&T etc
Have been searching the forum without luck so far.

It may be possible by using a VPN but if they require signing in with a local carrier, you might still be rejected.
