Canon 8580 CW

How on earth can i connect my scanner to my Macbook Pro which is Brand new.
1.Wirelessly to router?
2.To let my scanner work?
3.When i connect my network cable the printer works.
4. I had Canon scanners in South Afria, and Zimbabwe that work, but in Kenya it is such a struggle.

Can anyone help?

If the printer connects via the ethernet wire then I suspect there is a problem with the wireless network settings. Every Canon printer I've ever had has required using their network setup tool to get network printing / scanning setup 100% functional. Have a look at the second video on this page.

The video mentions the network key which is the password of your wireless network. The SSID id the name of your wireless network. As far as the security settings go modern routers are using the WPA or WPA 2 options. that's probably the setting your network is using.
