When I plug my iPhone into my iMac, I get the tone and the window pops up about automatically downloading pictures etc which I cancel. My question is why can I not see my iPhone in Finder? Should it show? Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?

Your iPhone won't show in Finder but it will show in iTunes. The iPhone does not not mount like a USB or External drive does.

OK, thanks. Got iTunes to show all my music that is on the iMac, but can't figure out how to transfer the songs onto my iPhone.

OK, here you go. Read the following Apple instruction and you'll should soon be up and running with music on your iPhone.

I'll look into that, thanks.

Worked like a charm, thanks. Guess I'll go to that website first for assistance instead of asking so many stupid questions here.

Thanks

There are no stupid questions. If there are I have asked that they be directed to me. If it weren't for those kinds of questions I'd never convince Charlie and others I'm a genius. I've got a good thing going here. Don't mess it up by looking for answers on your own.:Mischievous:
