I finally have all my files downloaded that I had backed up from the Windows based PC, and now want to set-up TM to get a backup going. I have a WD 1TB external hardrive hooked up but that drive does;t show in finer. It just indicates the software that came with the drive, but not the drive itself. How do I show the drive to I can get TM to backup to it?
Thanks

Mac OS Extended Journeled, is the Mac OS X preferred format type, unless you want to add, Encrypted to your Time Machine backup, for added security.
