Repair or replace? Connected to MBp. Cap 'p' does not work and typing 8 on keypad gives 89. plugged in on another mac.. It's the keyboard, not the Mac(s). Is there a DIY repair for this? Thanks, Ron

Welcome to Mac-Forums..

And A1243 (for those of us not in the know) is the Apple Keyboard. Looks like there might be some junk that is messing up the keys, you can try googling for it..or you know put it in the dishwasher..

Some other things.. the left shift doesn't work to produce a Capitol p, but the right shift does.. also the #8 on keypad produces an 89.. pressing the #9 =no effect.
F11=#9
Sounds like an April fools joke.. Ha
The problem appears to be with the electronic side of the keyboard and not the mechanics.

result= Replace
thanks
Ron
