Using Imac G5 desktop. Connection between mouse and keyboard constantly freezes requiring me to disconnect and the re-connect. Where is the problem? at the mouse wire or the keyboard receptor?

Try plugging it into the back of the iMac. If you need more USB ports get a powered hub.

About my last response where I thought all was OK, on further use it is freezing once I start using it on any application. But, right now it is functioning as I am able to write this email INCORRECT... CAN USE DIRECTIONAL KEYS BUT MOUSE CURSOR IS NOT VISIBLE. Once again, upon shifting inputs it appeared to work but as soon as I move mouse around it quits and freezes... any ideas?

Simple. Try using another known good working USB mouse.

PS: I didn't notice what brand or model USB mouse you're using.
