quicktime problems

i'll be trying to watch some home videos and commercials/shows on my ibook with quicktime, and i just upgraded it on 5.4.06, but it gets funky on me. there will be movies i know are much longer than 59 seconds, but it only plays the first minute, as if the video file is only a minute long. if i kind of play with the drag-search bar, sometimes it will jump to the next 59 second segment. any ideas?

Quicktime 5.4.6?!?

The actual Quicktime version for OS X and Windows is 7.0.4, and the last one for OS 9 was 6.3, I think...

So what system are you using?
