Maps as standalone?

20" iMac
For 14 years I have been navigating my Motor home using a dedicated Windows computer and Delorme Street Atlas. I'm sick of Delorme and its quirks. It hasn't improved significantly in 14 years.
I like the Apple maps program in my I phone and Ipad. Is there an apple software map program that i can run continuously with an external GPS and without WIFI or cell phone connections?

I don't believe so. The iOS version of Apple Maps is designed to be used on your iPhone or iPad in conjunction with a WiFi or cellular connection. The stand alone Apple Maps program that is included with Macs is for finding street addresses, computing distances from here to there and so forth, and can not be used with an external GPS.

Nice find Bob. Now all the OP needs is a compatible GPS and download drivers to connect his Mac to the unit.
