iPhone notes treats entry as phone number

I have an iPhone 5 with latest iOS. Recently I accidentally deleted a note from the note app and recovered it from the Recently Deleted folder. The note has a date (06/25) followed by a space followed by a four digit number (245.7). When the note was recovered it was fine on the Mac, but on the iPhone the entries were highlighted in gold, and the iOS treats them as phone numbers. If you tap one to try to change it, the phone tries to call the number. It does not render new entries that way. Any ideas as to why this is happening or how to fix it?

I suspect that the absence of replies indicates a difficulty in finding solutions.

I've done a fair bit of research, but all the "solutions" seem to indicate using Terminal commands or "tinkering" with the iOS.

I'll post some links below, but I am sure there must be an easier way.

For example, and off the top of my head, could you not separate the number strings with symbols or characters which are not in any way related to a phone number?

So, if you have 06/25 followed by 246 1234 - how about June 25;246:1234 - or similar invention which retains meaning for you but doesn't emulate a telephone number?

Sorry, not being very helpful. Best I can do.

What about a tap and long-hold which should give you the ability to focus the cursor in a specific place?

Thanks for suggestions. I finally put more spaces between the entries, much as IWT suggested and that worked.
