I have the following MacBook Pro: MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014). I'm running Sierra 10.12.4.
I'm considering purchasing a LG UltraFine 4K Display from Apple. I'm considering this display due to its cost and if I upgrade my MacBook Pro in the future, it will be compatible.
My questions:
1. Since this monitor only supports USB-C (Thunderbolt 3), can I use this monitor with my computer an adapter? If so, what adapter?
2. If I do this, what do I lose (besides the ability to power the laptop)? For example, will I be able to leverage the monitor's resolution (upto the max extent supported by my laptop)?
Thanks!
