Ipad Air touch screen not responding

Hi, i've been having this issue with my ipad air for about a week or two. It was working totally fine before then, but then one day the touch screen stopped responding completely. The buttons like the home screen and sleep button work totally fine, i just cant use the touch screen in any way.


I've tried powering off and on, holding the sleep and home buttons until the apple logo comes up, and just letting it sit for a week to see if it resolves- but none of these have fixed anything.


Has anybody ever heard of this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it/what to do?

Does the iPad have any damage? Was it dropped or anything like that? One possibility is that the cables have come loose but that's pretty hard because of these compact devices there's little room for anything to wiggle.

You can make an appointment at you nearest Apple Store Genius Bar. They can run diagnostic tests on it and tell you if there are any issues. I just brought my iPad Pro in because I thought the glass was broken, they ran the diagnostics and they said it was not a crack, only a scratch.
